What's New

This site now uses Wordpress as the front end, containing the stories of the individuals we know about.

If you came here from a search link you may want to visit our home page first.

The original site followed the stories of William Hannah (1822-1874) and Agnes Baird (1825-1873) and their descendants. William and Agnes were born in Ayrshire, and migrated towards Glasgow as their family grew. Their descendants that we know of are now found in Scotland, England, Australia and Canada.

Over the years we have been pleased to make contact with "cousins" that we never knew before, more information has become available, and the stories have grown, and more branches have been grafted in.

We hope you find our site interesting and informative. We would love you to make contact and add a little more to your story and ours. Bruce Hannah (December 2016)

Feel free to browse our surnames in the search box (top right). Please bear in mind that the privacy of living individuals is important to us. Apart from an abreviated name, no information will be shown.

Linked trees in TNG

TNG supports multiple family trees, but is limited in it's ability to connect those trees together. On this site, any individual who is common to two trees will be linked using a modification. If you find an individual has no descendants in the tree, it is worth checking whether there is a "Links to"entry which points to the same individual in another tree.

Spelling of Surnames

Surnames and gender are generally included here as recorded at birth or on official records.
